Allen Smith…Al as friends refer to him…is a native of Kansas City. He grew up in western Olathe as a small child and went to High School at Olathe East graduating in ‘97. While in Highschool he played Basketball, Baseball and later Golf. He currently resides in Leawood, KS with his wife Megan and young daughter Mia. He later went to Kansas State University graduating with a Degree in International Marketing in 2001. After college, he worked in the banking sector doing home loans as a mortgage broker for 7 years. Always looking into the insurance side, he picked up his insurance license in 2003.

In 2008, Al joined the staff of Blue Valley Insurance as a Personal and Commerical Lines Agent. He loves having the ability to help and educate people about insurance and maintaining great relationships with his clients. In 2013, Allen passed his CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation which recognizes designees as among the best and most knowledgeable insurance practitioners in the nation. Since 2011 and every year thereafter, he was awarded the FIve Star Professional Award. Less than 7% of home/auto insurance professionals in the KC area are named a FIve Star Home/Auto Insurance Professional. Only those professionals that ranked highest in customer satisfaction through customer surveys and industry peers were even nominated.

While away from work, Allen loves to do just about everything that involves the outdoors: a bass-wanna-be fisherman, pretty good golfer, and just about all things sports-related enthusiast. Allen has one rescued dog, Lola and survived by one that passed away in 2013, Lacey. You’ll often find him and his dog playing Frisbee in the park.
